The Undergraduate Mathematics Program

The mathematics concentration at Brandeis is designed for all students who enjoy mathematics, not only those who plan to do postgraduate work in the field. The ability to think logically and rigorously, one of the benefits of the study of mathematics, is a valued asset in many professions. Many of our majors go on to careers outside of mathematics, in fields such as law, medicine, business, and teaching, and we offer a varied program designed to meet the needs and interests of these students, as well as those who plan to become professional mathematicians. Concentrators in mathematics will have the benefits of small classes and individual faculty attention.
